What is ICP?

ICP – Investigation & Crime Prevention – was established as a methodology, the result of the work carried out by Stefani Law Firm in two complementary areas: investigative work – ranging from defence investigations to internal investigations – and preventive defence.

Investigation and prevention are the two pillars of a structured approach that enables organisations to establish the facts, assess their criminal liability and take action before that liability leads to criminal proceedings.

Since 14 November 2024, ICP has also been a European Union trade mark. This decision responds to a specific need: to protect what makes this approach recognisable – not merely a name, but a method and a body of expertise built up over time, with its own identity and continuity. The ICP trademark safeguards the expertise underpinning the service and guarantees its provenance, whilst assuming a responsibility: to ensure the consistency and rigour with which the investigation and prevention of criminal risk are conducted, planned and maintained over time. Those who choose ICP find a stable and verifiable point of reference, rather than a generic formula.
